Does the new report control for vs 2005 utilize SOAP or the URL method
to access the report server?
I need to utilize a pure SOAP based solution to get reports from the
report server. Just curious if the new solution is used that way or if
rolling my own is the only option.
ThanksThe new controls use soap (web services). They are a much more complete
solution that the old way.

New report controls
I've read that RDL is extensible. Is it possible to write a new control that will go into your toolbox for a report?
IE - Different types of charts or listing view or something?
ThanksNot in v1. However this is on our wishlist for Yukon. (SQL Server 2005).

New Features for Charts??
Hi, I was wondering if there will be any new features for the chart control
in future releases reporting services.
At the moment it seems possible only to produce fairly simple charts. I
would like to produce composite charts similar to excel.

James,
Charting is key to creating informative reports.
I feel sure that Microsoft will be looking to add more charting
capabilities to Reporting Services at some point in the future.
As far as I am aware no public announcement has yet been made about
possible future functionality in that respect.
